A chance to pause, celebrate and connect before the year comes to a close.

Join us for a special December edition of Netwalking for Professional Women — bringing together the women who have joined us throughout the year, alongside those discovering the network for the first time.

We'll be extending the usual walk-and-talk to end with a winter celebration lunch and plenty of good conversation. Bring your own or buy it from the cafe.

No pitches. No awkward networking. Just time together, outdoors, interesting women, thoughtful conversations — and a chance to celebrate how far we've all come in 2026.

This is a moment to reflect and to celebrate

December can be a busy month. Before we rush towards the end of the year, this is an opportunity to stop for a moment and notice what's happened along the way.

What have you learned this year?

What are you proud of?

What has surprised you?

And perhaps most importantly — what do you want to carry with you into 2027?

We'll explore some of these questions through gentle prompts, savouring pauses and conversations as we walk, with plenty of space for the conversations to go wherever they need to, especially with bonus lunch time.

What makes Netwalking different?

Over the year, our netwalk group has grown into a lovely community of professional women from different backgrounds, careers and stages. Some regulars, some who dip in and out and some newly discovering what time together outside can do.

And the feedback keeps coming back to the same things:

The people. The conversations. The prompts. The space to slow down.

Women have told us they value:

• meeting interesting, like-minded women, who come as themselves not their job titles
• having conversations they wouldn't normally have at networking events
• the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
• thoughtful prompts that spark something different
• getting outside and enjoying nature
• the quiet moments and permission to pause
• leaving with fresh ideas, energy, confidence or simply a bit more hope

One participant summed it up beautifully:

“Quiet moments and slowing down can be easier with a group of people aiming to do the same thing.”

What to expect

This special winter session will include:

• a warm welcome
• time to connect and catch up with other women
• a gentle facilitated winter walk followed by lunch together
• thoughtful prompts and one-to-one conversations
• a little space to reflect on 2026
• an opportunity to celebrate your own — and each other's — growth and learning
• a chance to think about what you're taking into 2027

You don't need to prepare. Come as you are, bring lunch or buy it in the cafe.

Who is it for?

Anyone who enjoys good conversation and wants to connect with other professional women in a more relaxed and human way.

You might be established in your career, navigating a change, building something new, figuring out your next step — or simply ready for some time away from your desk with good company.

You don't need to call yourself a “leader”, be in a particular role or have a networking strategy.

Just bring yourself, your coat and an openness to conversation.

Facilitated by Nic Kidston

Nic is a coach and consultant who creates spaces where people can slow down, think differently and have the conversations that matter.

Her approach is warm, thoughtful and practical — with just enough structure to get the conversation flowing, without making it feel like another workshop.

Come and celebrate with us

Whether you've joined us once, come along regularly, or this will be your first Netwalk, you're very welcome.

Let's finish 2026 the way we like to do things:

outside, together, with good conversation and a little time to breathe.

And perhaps leave with a reminder that we don't always have to do more.

Sometimes, it's worth stopping to notice how far we've already come.
